Prom Boutique Project

The prom is one of the most memorable nights of a girl's life. It is a milestone, a priceless memory that will last a lifetime. No girl should have to miss her prom due to financial difficulties. The HISD Prom Boutique Project was started to help financially challenged young women by providing them with free, beautiful formal dresses and gowns, as well as accessories and other gifts that will help to make their special night even more magical! Every young lady deserves a chance to feel like a princess, even if only for one night!

The Hallsville ISD Prom Boutique Project, in conjunction with the Zonta Club of Longview, provides special occasion dresses and accessories free of charge to financially distressed junior and senior girls who would otherwise be prevented from attending their prom.

Referrals for eligible students are submitted by guidance counselors, teachers, principals, and church officials. Eligible girls are sent personal invitations to attend one of our "Boutique Days" at an appointed time, where they can browse through hundreds of beautiful new and gently used prom dresses to find the gown of their dreams! Accessories including jewelry and shoes are also available for free, as well as door prizes that have been donated by local businesses (dinners for two, manicures, hair stylist appointments, even free and half-priced Prom tickets)!
