Core Beliefs |
|
|
As a learning community, we -- the stakeholders of the Hallsville Independent School District -- believe that students are the foundation of our community and that their individual needs, interests, and well-being must remain the highest priority. Each student, with support from teachers, staff, parents and the community, should be an active participant in the educational process. Successful participation demands adherence to the following beliefs:
- All people have equal value and worth.
- Society depends on citizens who practice moral, responsible behavior.
- Each child is a precious resource who has the right to an exemplary education.
- Positive, nurturing relationships are essential for student success.
- Student-benefit must be the deciding factor in all decisions.
- Excellence can only emerge from an atmosphere of high expectations.
|
- The needs of a diverse and ever-changing student body are best met through a broad array of challenging academic, co-curricular, extra-curricular, and support programs.
- Learning is a process that requires hard work, risk-taking, creativity, and innovation.
- A safe, secure school environment enhances quality teaching and learning.
- Students, their families, community members, and Hallsville ISD employees are vital partners in accomplishing the school’s mission.
