HELLO BOBCATS,

The 2009-2010 school year could be considered the "Greatest Year in the History of Hallsville ISD." The year started with a "State Championship" in FFA and finished with five (5) individual State Champions; a CX Debate State Championship and State Champion Runner-Up Teams; the High School UIL Academic Team was State Champion Runner-Up; and every Campus and the District receiving "Exemplary" TAKS Scores. This is a testimony of the wonderful Students, Staff, School Board, Parents, and Community of Hallsville ISD!

I am so PROUD of this School District!

Our Preliminary TAKS Scores are in and the following are unofficial ratings for every campus:

Hallsville Elementary School – Exemplary

Hallsville Intermediate School – Exemplary
(This is the third year in a row that Hallsville Intermediate School will receive an Exemplary Rating).

Hallsville Middle School – Exemplary
(This is the third year in a row that Hallsville Middle School will receive an Exemplary Rating).

Hallsville Junior High School – Exemplary
(This is the second year in a row that Hallsville Junior High will receive an Exemplary Rating).

Hallsville High School – Exemplary
(It is very rare to find a 4A High School that is Exemplary in the TAKS Testing era. Hallsville High School might be the only 4A High School in East Texas to receive an Exemplary Rating).

Hallsville ISD – Exemplary
(It is very rare to find a 4A School District that is Exemplary in the TAKS Testing era. Hallsville ISD might be the only 4A School District in East Texas to receive an Exemplary Rating. Hallsville ISD will join a very elite group of 4A/5A School Districts with "Exemplary" ratings. Last year, only five (5) 4A/5A school districts in the entire state received "Exemplary" ratings from the Texas Education Agency).

We are very proud of these results! Having 5 Exemplary Campuses Hallsville ISD has the most Exemplary Campuses of any School District in East Texas. This includes Class 1A through Class 5A School Districts!! These great results are a testimony to the hard work of all our students and staff members of the Hallsville Independent School District. Student success is our #1 priority at Hallsville ISD!!

Distinguished Schools Recognition
Congratulations to Hallsville Intermediate and Hallsville Middle School for again being named as Title 1 Distinguished Performance Schools. There were only 35 individual campuses in Region VII recognized. Hallsville ISD is one of only three 4A districts in Region V11 to have campuses recognized with this prestigious award. In order to receive recognition, campuses must have been recognized as Exemplary in 2009, Exemplary or Recognized in 2008 and Exemplary or Recognized in 2007, as well as meeting federal AYP standards each year. Meeting each of these standards for three consecutive years and having exemplary student achievement is an outstanding accomplishment.
