Public Report of Meeting Highly Qualified Teacher Requirements

December 9, 2009 - The No Child Left Behind Act (NCLB) requires that all core academic subject area teachers, grades PK-12, meet the highly qualified (HQ) requirements. Each district is required to publicly report the percentage of teachers meeting this status.

Hallsville ISD is pleased to report that for the 2009-2010 school year, 100% of the PK-12 core academic teachers in the district meet this federal requirement. This is the fourth year that this report has been required by NCLB, with Hallsville ISD meeting the 100% status each year.

The district and campus report cards related to Highly Qualified Teachers and instructions on how to access reports are now available online at http://www.tea.state.tx.us/nclb/hqreport.html.
