Welcome to North Elementary!  I am so excited to be working with the students and families in Hallsville.   I am from Roswell, New Mexico and moved to Texas ten years ago.  I graduated with a degree in Elementary Education from New Mexico State University.  I began my teaching career at North East Independent School District in San Antonio, Texas.  I loved being a Longs Creek Cowgirl!  While I was there I taught third grade, served ESL students, taught summer school, and provided reading intervention for students.  While I worked, I began working on my master’s degree for Educational Leadership at the University of Texas San Antonio.  In December of 2007, I married my husband, Chris, and we moved to Longview for his job.  I taught at Longview ISD for the remainder of that school year and was then hired in Hallsville to teach second grade.  In 2009, I was hired as the assistant principal of the Intermediate campus, 3-4 grade, and worked there for two years.  In 2011, Cristi Parsons and I had the privilege of opening up North Elementary.  It was great to see a campus start from the ground up.  I left Hallsville for two years and worked at White Oak Intermediate as the principal.  It has been a privilege to be back at North Elementary.  The staff, students, parents, and community continue to be a support for our schools and the success that our students have.
