Posted: February 28, 2017

The State of Texas is adopting instructional materials for Languages other than English (LOTE) and Career and Technical Education (CTE) this year for implementation during the 2017-18 school year. HISD has started a review of proposed materials and invites employees, parents, students, and community members to review the instructional materials and provide feedback.

Publishers will have samples of their materials available for viewing in the Culinary Café (Room I114) at the Hallsville High School 616 Cal Young Road, Hallsville, TX 75650. The material can be reviewed 8:30 AM-3:30 PM during March 27-29, 2017.

Comments regarding the materials may be submitted online to Hallsville Independent School District at https://goo.gl/forms/7HviCkb3fNreXhzD3. Any questions regarding HISD’s instructional materials adoption process may be addressed to the Curriculum Department at 903-668-5990 ext. 5076 or curriculum@hisd.com, and general information about the state’s process is posted on the Texas Education Agency's site.
