HHS Qualifies 13 Pieces Of Student Art To VASE State
(2/22/24) -- Hallsville High School's Visual Art students competed in the Region 7 VASE (Visual Art Scholastic Event) on Feb. 17, with Hallsville sending 13 of the 45 qualifying artwork pieces in the region to state competition.
Each student is allowed to compete with up to two artworks. The students go through an interview process and are scored on many criteria, including creativity, technical skill, and ability to articulate a cohesive explanation of meaning and artistic choices. A score of "4" is the highest possible score and artworks that score "4" receive a regional medal and advance to be considered for the state level competition.

- Lennea Anderson - "Pink Innocence"
- Elizabeth Arnold - "Marlo"
- Sofi Astrand - "Ripples of Serenity" and "Duality of Radiance"
