Hi! My name is Melissa Rhodes. I have taught English at Hallsville High School since graduating from college in 2001. Throughout my years at Hallsville, I have taught most of the classes the English department offers. Currently, I teach seniors and ESL students, all of which I love.

My husband, Jonah, and I have been married since 2008 and have an amazing 5 year old son named Nash, who will be starting Kindergarten as a Bobcat this year! Nash is a very special boy, and if you spend much time at HHS, you'll most likely get to know him.

Outside of school, I spend most of my time with my family. We enjoy going to church and church activities, spending time with friends, going to movies, shopping, and going to our favorite restaurants. Recently, my parents bought a farm, so we love spending time with the chickens, horses, and cows, riding all over the property, and basically just getting dirty with the animals.
