Howdy and welcome - I am glad you stopped by!

Let me share a little about myself ...

I have been married to my husband, Chad, for over 30 years and we have two children, Darby (HHS Class of 2012) and Garrett (HHS Class of 2016). In our free time, we enjoy being outdoors tending to our cattle, fishing or just spending time together.

I grew up mostly in Houston and moved to Marshall to attend college at East Texas Baptist University. That is where I met my husband. I graduated from ETBU with a B.S. in Education and a major in Secondary Business Education. I later added an Elementary Education certificate after spending time as a room mom and sub at my kids' elementary school. In the past few years, I have felt an increasing pull toward Educational Leadership and will graduate from Lamar University with an M.Ed. in Administration in December. Before teaching full time, I spent 16 years in the business sector as an insurance representative. 

Before coming to HHS, I spent 9 years teaching third grade at Hallsville Intermediate/East Elementary. This is my ninth year at HHS and will be my second year as a part of the administrative team - this year I have the exciting opportunity to work with students, parents and staff as our College, Career & Military Readiness Administrator. Previously, I taught CTE courses in the Business & Technology department. 

I LOVE HHS and especially enjoy helping students and staff find ways to experience and celebrate successes on their educational journey!
