Hallsville FFA
Hallsville's Addisyn Horn competed in the 2024 Texas FFA State Leadership Development Events (LDE) competition on Friday, Dec. 6, and Saturday, Dec. 7, at Sam Houston State University.
Horn participated in the Senior FFA Creed Speaking event, where contestants present the FFA Creed from memory and answer related questions. The Creed outlines the organization's core values regarding agriculture, FFA membership, and citizenship. The event is designed to help students build communication skills, confidence, and professionalism.
Horn competed against 23 other FFA members in the initial round on Friday, earning a spot in the final round on Saturday. Her performance on Saturday earned her a 10th-place finish and a highly coveted FFA State LDE banner.
In addition to her success in the competition, Horn serves as the Hallsville FFA Chapter President and the Longview District FFA President. In her district role, she leads a team of six other students to provide guidance for 23 schools. She has also recently begun her application for an Area VI officer position.
Horn’s accomplishments reflect her dedication to the values of the FFA Creed, and the Hallsville community is proud of her achievements and supports her future endeavors.
