HHS' Pessel Wins Region 2 Preview Golf Invitational

Hallsville High School's Kinley Pessel won first place overall in the Individual Girls Division at the Class 5A Region 2 Preview Invitational Tournament held this week at Rockwall Golf and Athletic Club in Rockwall.

Pessel shot a 78 Monday and followed with a 77 on Tuesday to bring home the championship. She was competing against some of the top-ranked 5A girls in the tournament.

On the boys side, Nathan Williams finished seventh overall with back-to-back rounds of 77 on Monday and Tuesday.

Bobcat and Ladycat Golf are coached by Scott Mitchell.
