CTE Law Students Gain Firsthand Experience
HALLSVILLE, Texas — Hallsville High School Career and Technical Education (CTE) students took their classroom learning into the courtroom on a recent visit to the 71st District Court in Harrison County.
Led by Rob Best, students in the Practicum in Law class spent the day observing live court proceedings in Judge Brad Morin’s courtroom. The students engaged with the judicial process, taking notes and applying their academic studies to real-world scenarios. After a morning session in court, the group took a brief lunch break before returning for the afternoon docket.
Hallsville ISD extends its thanks to Judge Morin and Mr. Best for creating meaningful, real-world learning opportunities that help prepare students for future careers in law and public service.
