Bobcat Anglers Win KYKX Big Bass Bonanza
HALLSVILLE, Texas — The Hallsville Bobcat Anglers continued their winning tradition by claiming the High School Division title at the 2025 KYKX Big Bass Bonanza, marking their seventh consecutive championship in the tournament.
Morgun Martin earned top honors as this year’s Top High School Angler, leading a team that included Kaden Duncan, Drew Linville, and Michael Crossland to a total catch weight of 20.030 pounds. The team took home cash prizes and the prestigious KYKX traveling trophy, which will remain at Hallsville High School for another year. In the Junior Angler Division, Hayden Thornton secured a strong 4th place finish.
Several Hallsville anglers also placed in the Ultimate High School Fishing top 10 teams, including Caleb Vanderslice, Landry Kennedy, Cooper Cummins, Brantley Slayton, Cayden Collins, and Hayden Thornton.
