Seven Hallsville FFA Members Earn Scholarships at Harvest Festival Banquet

Hallsville ISD is proud to celebrate the outstanding achievements of seven FFA members who were awarded a combined total of $44,000 in scholarships during the Harvest Festival Livestock Show Scholarship Banquet. This remarkable accomplishment reflects the dedication, work ethic, and excellence demonstrated by these students both in and out of the show ring.

Scholarships were awarded across both technical school and college pathways, recognizing a wide range of student goals and future plans.

Technical School Scholarship Recipients:

  • Payton Rice – $3,500
  • Kyndal McRae – $3,500
  • Corbin Hunt – $5,000 (Charles Richardson Memorial Scholarship)
College Scholarship Recipients:
  • Daisy Plaschke – $6,000
  • Sarah Huggins – $7,000 (Dr. Joe T. McKnight Scholarship)
  • Addisyn Horn – $9,000 (Jerry Lucy Memorial Scholarship by Upshur Rural Electric Cooperative)
  • Avery Hunt – $10,000 (Horaney Family Memorial Scholarship)
These scholarships represent not only financial support, but also recognition of each student’s commitment to agricultural education, leadership, and personal growth. Their success is a testament to the strength of Hallsville’s FFA program and the opportunities it provides.
