Ms. Melissa LaGrone

Hello! 

My name is Melissa LaGrone and I am so excited to be at East Elementary in Hallsville! I am not married nor do I have belly babies but I have three crazy amazing nephews whom I love to pieces. I love spending time with them and the rest of my family whenever possible. 

I grew up in Carthage, Tx and still love my Bulldogs. I graduated fom Carthage High School in 1999 and attened Panola College for 2 years. After leaving Panola, I moved to Waxahachie, Texas where I graduated from Southwestern Assemblies of God University in 2005 with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education. I began teaching Kindergarten in the Fall of 2005 at Waxahachie ISD and stayed there until I felt God was leading me home to East Texas. In 2015 I earned a Masters in School Counseling and hope to put that degree to work in the future. For now I am enjoying being in the classroom with my 3rd graders. I love kids and the love, joy, and silliness they bring to my life.
