AP Update re: COVID-19There is an update regarding AP courses and testing available at https://apcentral.
collegeboard.org/about-ap/ news-changes/coronavirus- update.Here are the highlights:*Beginning 3/25/20, AP students have access to free live and on-demand AP courses taught by AP teachers across the country.*AP testing will be done from home and follow a different format than normal.-45 minute online free-response exams for each course-will focus on content most schools covered by March.-can be taken from any device (phone, tablet, computer, etc.)-option to submit photos of written responses-if you don't have internet access, you can let AP know directly through the first link included above*There will be 2 dates available for testing. Dates will be announced by April 3rd.*Any student who wishes to cancel AP exams can do so at no charge.-If you wish to cancel, please email firstname.lastname@example.org as soon as you've made a decision. A requisition form will be emailed to you to request a refund if you've already paid.-If you still need to pay, please wait to do so until further notice. Payment will be accepted at a later date.If you have any questions, please email email@example.com.
Attention all AP students, it is time to pay for exams. You have from now until March 6th to pay your exam fees in full. Cost is $60 per test or $20 per test for free/reduced lunch students. Payment can be made to Mrs. Hatchel in the counseling office.
Juniors and Seniors: If you would like to take the ACT during the school day on Feb 25th please check your email for the link to sign-up. The deadline is January 14th. Payment information is in the email.If you would like to take the SAT during the school day on March 4th please check you email for the link to sign up. The deadline to sign-up is January 31st. Payment information is in the email.
Attention 8th Grade Parents!!
There will be a parent meeting Tuesday, January 14th from 6:00-7:30 pm in the HHS cafeteria for all 2020-2021 9th graders. The information shared will be critical to your child’s successful transition into high school. During the evening, counselors, teachers, and administrators will guide you through the scheduling process by reviewing the course guide, 4 year plan, and the course selection process. After a brief presentation, you will have the opportunity to visit booths representing several of our endorsements.
