Shauna Hittle, Assistant Superintendent of Academic Leadership

  • Shauna Hittle Mrs. Shauna Hittle is completing her 30th year in education. After graduating with a degree in Human Development and Family Studies at Texas Tech University, she began her teaching career in Lubbock ISD. She also served as teacher, instructional coach, assistant principal and principal in Amarillo ISD over a 10 year span before moving to East Texas.

    She has served as principal at both the secondary and elementary school levels in Tyler ISD where she also served as Executive Director of Elementary Education and Executive Director of  K-12 Teaching and Learning within the Curriculum and Instruction Department. She earned her Master of Education degree in Educational Leadership at West Texas A&M University and her Superintendent's certification at the University of Texas at Tyler.

    Shauna is married to Chad Hittle and they have two boys, Matthew (23) and Tyler (20). She and her family love being a part of the Hallsville community and serving the students and staff at HISD.
