Mary Brown, Chief Financial Officer

Mrs. Mary Brown grew up here in East Texas, in nearby Daingerfield, from where she graduated high school in 1995. After earning her Bachelors of Business Administration degree in Finance from Texas A&M University, she began her career in Finance and Accounting.

She spent five years working in Dallas as an Accountant and as a Regional Accounting Manager with Trammell Crow Residential Services, a multi-family residential development and management company. After that time, she returned home to East Texas, when her husband began his career in ministry, and she spent the next few years as a full-time mom to their two babies. She then spent the next seven years working in Public Accounting, four years of which she gained valuable experience working as an auditor for school districts,  municipalities and non-profit organizations. She came to Hallsville ISD in 2017, and she loves the wonderful family environment and dedication to excellence that makes Hallsville such a great place to live and work.

Mary has been married for 20 years to her husband Lane, who is also a proud Aggie from the Fightin’ Texas Aggie Class of 1999 (Whoop!) They have two children, Dane and Sydni, who are proud to be Bobcats. Dane is a 9th grader at HHS and enjoys playing Bobcat football, and Sydni is a 7th grader at HJH, who enjoys spending time with her friends and is looking forward to being involved in Theater. Their family loves to travel together and are huge fans of Texas Aggie football and Dallas Mavericks basketball.
