Gwen Walker grew up in East Texas and graduated from LaPoynor High School. She earned her Associates in Applied Science from Tyler Junior College as a Computer Science major. She went on to attend the University of Texas at Tyler.After working several years as a Junior Systems Analyst for the Southland Corporation, Gwen spent the next 18 years in radio broadcasting on the administrative end of the industry. In 2009, she began working for Tyler ISD and later went on to work for Benton Public Schools in Arkansas. She joined the Hallsville Bobcat team in 2016, as the Executive Assistant to the Superintendent and the Communications Coordinator.
Gwen has one son, Colby Walker, who lives in Addison. She enjoys traveling, attending sporting events and helping others.
