At HISD, we value what substitute teachers can bring to the classroom and rely on qualified, enthusiastic people to fill this important role. The district has opportunities for Substitute teachers and Long-Term Substitute teachers.
Our district uses the Frontline Education substitute management system ( former Aesop), and all contracted substitutes must be entered into the system in order to substitute at HISD. If you are interested in becoming a substitute teacher, you can submit an inquiry of interest by visiting the HISD FastTrack System.
