Mr. Chase Hiles
Hello, my name is Chase Hiles and I teach 8th Grade U.S. History. I also coach 7th and 8th grade football and assist with the varsity football team in the Fall. In the Spring, I coach the JV Gold Baseball team and assist the JV Purple and Varsity Baseball teams. I am also involved in UIL serving as the UIL Social Studies coach for grades 6, 7 and 8.
I am from Ore City, Texas, and graduated from Ore City High School. I then pursued an Associates degree in General Studies with an emphasis in History through Northeast Texas Community College, which led me to transferring and graduating from Texas A&M University - Texarkana with a Bachelor's degree in History. This is my 5th year of being an educator as well as being with Hallsville ISD and Junior High. Outside of education, I really enjoy spending most of my time with family and friends, and supporting my brother who is the Director of Bands at another school district. When it comes to hobbies I love sports (especially baseball), listening to music, the outdoors, and travelling. I'm also a huge Baylor Bear fanatic...SIC EM' BEARS! I really look forward to what year 5 has in store for myself and future students here at Hallsville Junior High. It is always a great day to be a BOBCAT! GO CATS!
