"The Roarin' Band from Bobcat Land!"

The Junior High Band is made up of students who are in 7th and 8th grade. During the Fall, the band performs at pep rallies, football games, and even learns to march. During the spring, the band splits up into Wind Ensemble and Symphonic Band where they each rehearse daily for various performances and events (UIL, Music Festival, Concerts).

Students who are interested in joining the band must first take a beginner class during their 6th grade year. During the end of students' 5th grade year, students will be tested and will be placed on an appropriate instrument based on director recommendations. The main focus of our Beginner Band is to learn instrument fundamentals, develop quality tone, and have fun! After learning the basics on their instruments during their 6th grade year, students will move up to the JH Band their 7th grade year.
