Mrs. Hollie Strickland

Thank you for visiting this page!  Teaching is truly my passion, and I am excited to be doing it in Hallsville ISD. I am currently in my 12th year in education and just moved to the area from Dallas/Fort Worth in 2021. I am teaching 7th grade English Language Arts this year. I attended college at the University of North Texas and graduated in 2010. 

I became a teacher because I believe learning should be an experience, not merely a compliant act to show understanding. It should be the perfect combination of relationship building, engagement, and accountability. I desire to create an experience for my students where the teacher cares, the content matters, and kids feel supported.

Another huge part of my life is who I am on Friday nights. I am a coach's wife with two wonderful daughters who keep me on my toes and give me company in the bleachers. The school district and community play a significant role in our everyday lives.
