Ms. Rachel Shauchunas

Hello! My name is Rachel Shauchunas. I am orignally from Wylie, Texas, but the love and beauty of East Texas grew on me when I transferred to East Texas Baptist University (Go Tigers!); I decided that East Texas was now my home. I majored in English focusing on Secondary Education, and minored in writing. I teach 8th grade ELA at Hallsville Junior High and I love it! The main things that you need to know about me are: 1. family is extremely important to me - they are my rocks; 2. I love to read and write; I'm currently obtaining my master's in Creative Writing, and I am in the process of writing a book or two; 3. Edgar Allan Poe is my favorite person (other than family); 4. I love chicken nuggets; and 5. I watch Frasier every day.
