Mr. Mark Gerald

Howdy! My name is Mark Gerald.  I teach 7th grade math as well as all three competitive math courses at the 6th, 7th, and 8th grade level.  I began my teaching career in 2017, joining the Hallsville Bobcat team in 2019.

I grew up in Southeast Texas and joined the Navy out of high school.  After serving for 25 years, I retired and returned to East Texas to become a Junior High Math Teacher.  

My wife, Patty, is also an Educator, teaching life skills to the HISD PATHWAYS students.  She and I have been married since 1994 and have four children (three bio and one bonus - ask me about them some time) and three grandchildren.  We enjoy traveling to see family and friends throughout Texas and Missouri and as far away as Virginia, Ohio, Nevada, and Florida.

I love being outside, especially if I'm at the lake!
