I am the 7/8 Grade Head Choir Director and I assist with the 6th grade choir classes.  I have been in the teaching profession for 34 years and am in my 23rd year as Choir Director at Hallsville Junior High School. 

I have been married for 36 years to my wonderful husband, Dr. Douglas Lockard.  I have two amazingly talented sons, Andrew and Benjamin, who both graduated from Hallsville ISD. 

I love to sing, play the flute, perform, cross stitch, scrap book, and play tennis.

My job is most rewarding when I see students successfully perform as an ensemble, as well as perform individually.  I want my students to feel that they are part of a successful team, where they can make friends, make music, and gain a sense of pride and confidence.
