Around the World in 180 Days

Do you know there really are islands named Madagascar, Easter Island, and The Galapagos Islands?  Greenland is icy and Iceland is green!  The Dead Sea has so much salt in it that you are able to lay on top on the water without sinking! Glaciers store between 70% to 80% of all the freshwater on Earth!   All of the water on Earth has been here from the beginning of time.  If the entire world were as densely populated as New York City, the whole population would fit inside Texas. China is bordered by 14 countries. Can you name them??  These things and many more will be discussed in 6th grade Social Studies this year.  Come to class ready to learn with a positive attitude and be willing to make new friends. Pack your backpack and come visit the world with us!!  We can’t wait to start this new adventure.

All assignments are uploaded into our Google Classroom each morning.  If your student is out, have them check in Google Classroom for their assignment.
